Mirandoids

The basic Miranda hull is incredibly versatile.  If we ever build spacecraft that (for the comfort of planet-surface dweller psychology) employ artificial gravity perpendicular to the primary direction of travel, I hope we recall the design of the Miranda.

I have already published the base Miranda class and a TOS version..  My current project is bashing the core ship into several of the cool variants for which I was able to find material. The ones that are done are just waiting for SM Beta in order to catch any SMEnt format changes

Truman Class:  No Roll Bar.  Like the Lantree seen in TNG.  Lighter and cheaper.  No torps.  Minimal weapons.

Ticonderoga Class: done. The Truman,  but adds two large AMC cannons mounted over the nacelles.

Vol Sulaki Class: Keeps the roll-bar but replaces the weapons pod with a third engine for additional power.

Cherokee Class:  A 4 Nacelle variant of the full Miranda.

U.S.S Peregrine: An atmosphere capable rework of the Miranda, in imitation of a Romulan Bird of Prey.  Not a class, According to the back-story only one was ever made.

Challenger Class:  I'm just considering this one as it would be more than a trivial modification.  More of a whole project unto itself.  It's a hybrid  with  Miranda, Constitution, and Ambassador design elements.

Soyuz Class: Adds a large extension to the rear of the hull, and  four outboard non-engine nacelles.  Whether those are sensor pods or large fixed canon emplacements seems to vary with the source.
