Shipyard 60

The shipyard 60 in foreground with the faint
shipyard 120 under construction in the background.

The Star Trek franchise often shows ships in an orbiting "Space Drydock".  These construction, repair and maintenance facilities are both the birth cradles and the hospitals for craft whose size or structure rules out construction under planetary gravity.

This is the first and smallest planned shipyard.  It is meant to house ships whose Length, Width and Height are all less than 240x120x60 meters.
Planned structures will enclose docking fields of 480x240x120 and 700x500x160.  The latter will enclose even the Nebula, Galaxy and Sovereign classes.

Customizing for different vessels:
Refitting the shipyard for different ships is easy.  Near the middle of the bay, you will find a lone docking block.  You want to reposition that block so that if  your ship were centered in the bay, the block would be level with the lowest part of the ship, and directly below the ships core.  Having done so hit "c" on the docking block and (shift v) on the enhancer tradition that runs up the antenna mast.

The ship shown is the Nova class, (not included)

one of 8 AstroTech Repair turrets positioned to strike
the hull from all sides.

Ships are illuminated by 18  docked lighting modules.
Each is individually powered and shielded.
They are detachable for replacement or re-positioning.

8 large turrets and shield generators help to protect your
project from raiders and griefers.

2 auxiliary lighting and repair shuttles find and fix the places
the repair turrets and side lighting can't reach.

Observation bays give guests  a commanding view
of the project under construction.

Spacious hangar deck.

Problems:
Problem 1: Holy Lights
I'm not sure why this happens... Sometimes the build spawns in with a hole in one of the light bars.  Fortunately, it's easy to replace.
Problem 2: Hallucinations!   This has happened twice.   This thin is easily big enough to see from the next sector over.  Twice now, a mob has had a spawn collision with it, causing the structure to twist and buck, and eventually rip itself free from both the MOB and all of its turrets.  The process is rather distressing to watch...  then when you get back into the same sector with it, the whole thing disappears, and is rebuilt whole with all its attachments reattached.

Problem 3: Chain docking does not work.  Therefore you can't dock anything that has anything docked.  Similarly you can't attach turrets or dock shuttles while you are docked.

Potential problem:  This monstrosity is a compound structure, heavily based on Docking rules remaining as they are.  If Schema changes the rules for docking this thing might just up and explode.
